The New York City Department of Correction’s (NYCDOC) Youth Explorer program is an exciting opportunity for young people to learn firsthand about the rewards and challenges of a career in public safety.

To be a New York City Department of Correction Youth Explorer you must:
• Be a high school student, between the ages of 14 and 17 years old
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 or a 70% average, with regular attendance.
