Director of Development


The New York Harbor Foundation seeks an experienced fundraiser to join a dynamic team at a very exciting time in the Foundation’s history. The Development Director will serve as a strategic partner for the Executive Director and the leader of an experienced and talented fundraising team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and cultivating high net worth individual donors. Working with the existing development team and the Development Committee of the Board, the Development Director’s most important work will be to lead the creation and implementation of a Development Plan.

Billion Oyster Project Scientist


The New York Harbor Foundation seeks a Billion Oyster Project Scientist to serve as a restoration practitioner and educator directly involved in the science and research of oyster restoration in New York Harbor particularly as it relates to the high school Marine Biology and Research Program at the New York Harbor School. This hands-on professional is tasked with working in the field, in the lab and in the classroom to support oyster restoration and student involvement with restoration activities. .

Billion Oyster Project 2017 Internships


The New York Harbor Foundation seeks qualified individuals for internship positions beginning May 2017. This internship will provide a great opportunity for a current college or graduate student, or recent graduate, to gain experience in environmental restoration, marine science, conservation, public engagement, philanthropy, communications, and the day-to-day operations of a growing nonprofit organization. The intern will have the opportunity to provide a wide range of research, outreach, administrative, and general support to the Billion Oyster Project team.
