Veterinary Receptionists

VETERINARY CLINIC in order to fill TWO Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist positions in Brooklyn, NY.

Seeking two professional, experienced and friendly Veterinary Receptionists to join the family! Must be an animal lover with keen attention to detail and passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Ideally looking for previous experience in a Veterinary setting, but Medical background is a must.

General Responsibilities:
  • Answering multiple phone lines
  • Collecting payments from clients
  • Scheduling initial and follow-up appointments
  • Taking messages for Doctors and Technicians
  • Answering emails
  • Data Entry
  • Faxing/filing/assembling medical charts
  • Housekeeping
  • Opening and Closing office
  • End of Day reconciliation
Requirements:
  • 1 year of medical receptionist experience, preferably in Veterinary Office (General Practice or Emergency)
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Good understanding of medical terms
  • Ability to differentiate the difference between an emergency and a routine office visit
  • Efficient and able to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Basic Computer Knowledge -- Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Impromed, Cornerstone or AVImark Software, helpful
  • Comfortable around dogs and cats
  • Must be able to work afternoons/nights (until 7pm) and Saturdays
