Substitute Teaching Openings


The Reece School, a prestigious non-profit special education elementary school for children (ages 5-13) with complex developmental delays, needs qualified dedicated professionals with relevant experience to fill the following per-diem positions

SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS

Substitute Teaching Assistant: in the absence of the Teaching Assistant.
Substitute TA will assist the Head Teacher with the daily lessons and other planned classroom programs. High school diploma with some college credits is acceptable. New York State (NYS) certification preferred. Prior classroom experience needed.

Substitute Teacher: will be responsible for carrying out the classroom program and activities as well as ensuring the health and safety of the children. BA or BS degree required for this position. New York State (NYS) certification in elementary education preferred. Some experience working with children with special needs is a plus.

Please note these are per-diem openings and the substitute will be called when needed.
